Shuniqua Ortiz is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Texas Woman’s University and a Master’s degree in Professional Counseling from Amberton University. She has been working in the field of social services and mental health for over 15 years. This has included the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services, Lakes Regional MHMR Center, and various psychiatric hospitals. She has treated clients for an array of mental health disorders, such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, Substance Use Disorders, Schizophrenia and Bipolar Disorder. She also has taught Human Development at Eastfield College since 2013. Shuniqua specializes in couples counseling, family therapy and career counseling.
