Ms. Kohl is passionate about creating change and hope in the lives of both teens and adults. She received undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Biomedical Engineering from the University of Missouri. In 2011 she received a dual Master’s of Education in Counseling Psychology focusing on both LPC & LMFT tracks. She has been licensed as a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC), a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). She is currently licensed in Texas as a Licensed Professional Counselor.
Jessica has worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings. She has 8 years of experience in inpatient adult drug and alcohol treatment centers and 2 years in private practice. She works with individuals, couples and families. She has experience treating depression, anxiety, PTSD, substance abuse and complex couples and family situations – including families coping with addiction. She is currently working to obtain certification in EMDR and hopes to have this completed by 2021.
