Chasity Watson is originally from the Northeast, earning her BA in Psychology from the University at Buffalo and then her Master’s in Social Work from Boston College. She has been practicing as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 2005. Beginning in 2022, Mrs. Watson is EMDR trained through the Parnell Institute and is working towards her certification.
Mrs. Watson has a wide range of clinical experience, including outpatient mental health, medical/hospital social work, residential treatment facilities, juvenile detention centers, and home/community-based settings. She has extensive background in working with children and families involved with the court system through family court, CPS, foster care, and juvenile justice providing clinical assessments, therapeutic interventions, court reports and recommendations, teaching/training of staff and multi-disciplinary professionals, and program development. Mrs. Watson has also testified as an expert witness in child abuse, juvenile justice, and family court cases.
Chasity specializes in individual treatment of children, adolescents and adults with issues of trauma, anxiety, depression, general mental health, physical abuse, sexual abuse/assault, and victims of sex trafficking. She also has significant experience in working with first responders and their family members (Police, Fire, EMS, Dispatch), in addition to extensive training in the provision of Critical Incident Stress Management techniques.
In her practice, Chasity believes in being client-focused, trauma-informed, and strength-based to help clients successfully navigate challenges and minimize distress.
