Ashton is driven by helping others recognize their hidden potential and regain control in their lives. She holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Human Development & Family Studies from Texas Tech University and a Master’s of Education in Counseling & Development with emphasis in Marriage, Couples, and Family Counseling from Lamar University. Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Texas.
Prior to becoming a therapist, Ashton worked extensively serving the needs of individuals, couples, and families in the areas of social services, childcare, health & wellness, and higher education. Ashton’s eclectic background has equipped with unique insight for her clients in a multitude of areas. Ashton thrives on the educational aspects of therapeutic settings and enjoys working alongside her clients to teach them about their mental health, but also to learn from them and continue her personal growth as a therapist. Ashton works primarily with teens, couples, and families through a systemic lens and has experience treating depression, anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, and other concerns. She is EMDR trained and working towards her certification.
